Can anyone tell me if the village of Garthorpe, Lincs is missing from Ancestry for the 1841 census?  I cannot seem to find anyone living there even when I just put 'John' in for a search.

Look under Luddington

Garthorpe is NOT an ancient parish of Lincolnshire. Prior to 1900 it was a township in Luddington parish

Thanks Ricky, I have already got that bookmarked for the reg districts but that didn't help in this case but I've just looked at my other 'ready to hand' aid, namely my roadmap, and I see Luddington is just south of Garthorpe.  I will have to remember to look around a village for somewhere bigger if I cannot find the one I'm looking for.
