I'm looking for John Merrett born 1841 North Bradley.
I have some information which suggests that his parents were John and Ann, with siblings
Hanna 1827 Mark 1830 Ann 1833 Jane 1835 but I have no records to verify that this is true.

Looking on the 1851 in North Bradley
I only find the one John Merrett of suitable age. (There was another, but, age 61 living alone.)

Many thanks for looking. John(Jnr) did marry in Melksham (and his 11 children were born there), would it be possible to check that area to see if the family moved there early in his life?

Looks like your hunch was right, they are not in Melksham, but I checked the index for that piece and found them in Trowbridge!

I'm not sure how useful all the information is. Maybe it will link in one day!
Its sometimes a worry that it seems to be a lifetime job tracing other peoples lifetimes! I met a 4th cousin once removed via the net, when I had not long started researching. He had been doing it for 15 years & tells me he will probably never get to "the end" of the task. After 2 years I feel I have just started!
