As we are all too well aware, genealogy can be both time-consuming and expensive, especially if researching from overseas, or afar.
Two sites I cannot recommend highly enough are listed below. Both are great value, and very straight forward to use. Both sites give access to a wide range of records. Obviously, they are only of interest to those with ancestry in those regions.
