Im trying to find details of a marriage between a John Charles Wolfindale and a Hilda M. Chester which would have been around the 1925ish time. Ancestry cant help and neither can FreeBMD.
Can anyone offer any advice?

I have checked the Ancestry complete marriage index for 1924 - 1926 inc and there is no John Charles Wolfindale.
But in the Sept q. 1925 there is a Hilda M Chester to Higton.....Spilsby 7 a -1485

Strange isnt it!
But the couple had 2 children (twins). Pamela and Patricia Wolfindale. On the birth index, it states the mothers maiden name as Chester which matches up to what details I was given.
So why cant I find any details of a marriage???
AARRGGGHHH!!!

What year were the twins born, was it long after the marrige that I found 
If so.... it could be that she might have left her husband Higot and lived with Wolfindale as his wife and then had the twins and put down her maiden name on thier birth certificates........

How on earth did you find that??? I tried using all sorts of dates using +-10 years!
Were you using FreeBMD or Ancestry or what???
