Orphans named BLACKBURN - York to Liverpool - 1920s

I recently came across a thread on GenForum about children named BLACKBURN who were born in York. Their father William was killed in WW1 and their mother died a few years later leaving the children orphaned. They were then brought up in Liverpool by their maternal grandmother.

I am fairly certain they fit into my family tree.

The post was very old but I tried replying to the e-mail address anyway, sadly without success, so I thought I would post this message just in case the details ring any bells with Rootschatters.

I would love to contact the lady who posted the message as she said they lost contact with their family in York and it would be great to share information with her.
