Kingston Lisle Parish Register 1896/8
« on: Sunday 16 January 05 13:15 GMT (UK) »

Hello

I would be very grateful for a lookup for two baptisms in the parish registers for Kingston Lisle for two members of my direct family.

These sisters were born very close to one another and the births were both registered in Faringdon.  The place of birth for both of these ladies is as quoted on the 1901 census - Kingston Lisle:

Margaret Isabel MURPHY   (b 1896 Q3)

Norah Ellen Murphy           (b 1897 Q4)

I would be particularly interested to discover what the first name of their father appears as in the register because although he always has appeared as JAMES, it could be noted as JEREMIAH.

I hope that someone has access to these records to help me break down my brickwall.

Here's hoping
Jane

Hi Jane,

I have the parish records for Kingston Lisle, but unfortunately the records have only been transcribed up until 1894.

I did have a look for any Murphys baptised a few years before then, but couldn't find anything.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Hi Jane,

As promised, I've checked the records for Ferham, Uffington, woolstone, Baulking, Bourton, and Longcot.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything. Sorry. Sad
