Probable Marriage Registration

1839 Rothbury AMJ quarter 25 425

Ann Heslip (sic)

On the 1881 census, the full name of the daughter aged 7 is Annie Heslop Anderson. The fact that there is also Isabella (plus all of the other circumstantial evidence above) suggests to me that this is almost certainly the correct family......but please don’t take my word for it....try and check it for yourself, if possible.

It also looks like James died in 1895.....

On the 1901 census, Matthew, Edward and Elizabeth Anderson are still living with her (and her new husband) and she has another son called Francis Reed who is 6 months old. Glendale RG13/4849 Folio 105 Page 6

Mary J Anderson aged 24 and single is a Cook and Isabella Anderson aged 22 and single is a Housemaid in Nesbit, Northumberland in the household of a George Logan and family.
