I'm at a brick wall, I'm trying to find a Morris/Maurice Bennett who was born around 1771(?) maybe in Warwickshire(?) so I'm after any Morris/Maurice Bennett enteries for births/Baptims for theloe of the UK for 1700 till 1800.
He joined the East India Company & ended up on the Island of St Helena where he died in July 1827 age 56.
SO can some kind person help me out please!

He died in July 1827 & his age is down as 56yrs. so going by that he would have been born around 1771(?) I have only found two Maurice Bennetts, both marriages, one in 1721 & the other for 1777, both in Wiltshire! In the IGI's on the Web!. Going from 1760 - 1785 there must be some Maurice's births & baptisms
some where? ? he married in 1820 but there is no age down!! I don't have too much info on him!!!! but I do have the family line from him up to date.
Where Maurice/Morris was from!!!!!!!! He married a Slave woman from the Island, in Dec 1820. He was a Barrack sergeant in the St Helena Artillery, & helped guard Napoleon when he was Exiled there ! They had three children:- Maria,Jane & James,born from 1810 to 1812. Hope you can help Please!! Thanks

Thanks for your reply, at this time I'm just after any Maurice/Morris Bennett's Birth/Baptims from around 1740 to 1780 for the above Bennett. I have a Researcher in London doing his Army Records!! [font=Verdana][/font]If you can help on that part please?

Thanks for your message, Yes I have seen that book, I'm after any Baptims/Births for Maurice/Morris for the UK from around 1740 to 1780, it would be a great help IF the above Bennett was found, It may help or not!!!!!! if some one who would help please, please!!!!

Not sure that such a broad approach will be successful but here is an 18th century Maurice Bennett to set you off (not Warwicks).
