Hi Sophiedog,
I believe you and I are doing some research on the same line of Towners.
My information comes from a woman in Australia, also researching Towners of Bishopstone - but not this line. She has seen the Bishopstone PR's and provided the following: In addition to the 3 siblings you mentioned, she lists Thomas 23 May 1752 (my ancestor) William 26 Dec. 1755, Samuel 1 Oct. 1857; Mary 8 March 1760; Benjamin Clark 17 Feb. 1765.
She noted a "possible"marriage of John Towner and Mary Shoor 28 June 1744 in Willingdon.
My Thomas married Frances Stevens 29 May, 1774 in Seaford. I have no additional information on any of Thomas siblings.
There are scads of Towners in that area of Sussex making for a great deal of confusion.
Are you sure of the Towner/Shoor marriage?
Jann
