William George BOYNES married Martha DIGGINS in Woodbridge in December quarter 1860; could someone please confirm the parents of William? (NB his surname is indexed wrongly as BINES)
thanks, Janet

Catherine Sandys, I will find out where you went.

This looks like them in 1861
RG9; Piece: 1167; Folio: 95; Page: 10 = Hasketon
Williams birthplace given as Hasketon.

Yes, that's them on the census. I *think* that William was the illegitimate son of Hannah Boynes/Bines, and just wondered if there would be anything (in parish records?) to suggest who his father might have been.

Hi Janet
The problem you have is that Woodbridge is a Registration District as well as a town. Woodbridge RD covers dozens of parishes including Hasketon. Hasketon would be well worth checking if someone has the PRs, but realistically it is not feasible to check every parish within the RD. You may have to buy the certificate to check George's paternity I'm afraid.
