Researching for OH mother :


She has George Robson 1819 married to Sarah 1816 both from Lanchester , ive looked a on census for his own family ie siblings and parents but had no luck does anyone have a link to this family ?

I have 9 gravestone inscriptions for Robson in Lanchester graveyard that may be of some help if you can give a little more information.

Helping partners mum do some research on the Robsons all the details she has given me to work on is : George Robson Head age 62 Lanchester Durham
  Sarah   Robson Wife   age 65 Shield Row Durham
John Robson      son   age 24 Leadgate Durham
George Robson  Head age 29 Oxhill Durham
Mary A Robson   Wife   age 25  Leadgate Durham
William Robson   Son    age 4   Leadgate Durham
Mary A Robson   Daur   age 3   Leadgate Durham   and
Alfred Robson     Son    age 4m  Leadgate Durham


I have looked on Ancestry for George Robson 1819 (age 62 ) from Lanchester and could only find him from 1851 onwards any help would be grateful

Hello Chelle. If you do get the name of the parents of George
I will be able to look at the gravestones to see if they are the ones buried in Lanchester graveyard.
If you are lucky enough to have a Robson gravestone then it is a real bonus because they can give lots of information.
Lets hope some one can find them on the 1841 census.

Chelle. I have no gravestone inscriptions for a George Robson
for the dates you mention.
I was hoping it would be any name other than George so that it would have given you a chance with the inscriptions that I have.

Re the above there is a George Robson listed on 1841 census living in St Oswald (Lanchester) with a father Luke aged 60 and mother Mary aged 50.
Book: 17; Civil Parish: St Oswald; County: Durham; Enumeration District: 12; Folio: 3; Page: 1; Line: 4; . Could this be your George?
