Elizabeth Shrimpton c 1700, Hampshire married William Golding on 12.07.1724, Whitchurch. They had William b 1725 and Elizabeth b 1726 died 1727. Did they have any other children? I have no info on Elizabeth or William. Can anyone help me
William baptised 02.05.1725, Whitchurch Elizabeth baptised 31.12.1726, Whitchurch
Thanks, Nicola

The Whitchurch burials don't help in giving a possible DOB for either John or Elizabeth because they don't give ages (C18th burials don't usually)
4th January 1726 Elizabeth Golding
29th June 1731 John Golding
1st September 1740 Elizabeth Golding
2nd September 1777 John Golding
But no William Golding burial so Elizabeth and William or just William may have moved. There are possibilites of Golding burials in nearby places like Knights Enham.
The most likely Hampshire baptism (baptism not birth) for Elizabeth Shrimpton is Elizabeth baptised 25th March 1695 in East Woodhay, the daughter of Thomas. Thomas married Alice Helliar 7th October 1688 in East Woodhay. She was buried there 17th February 1714.
East Woodhay is close to Whitchurch, Shorewell is not. It is however only a possibility for Elizabeth's baptism and not proven that it is the correct Elizabeth. The Shrimpton surname isn't rare in this area of Hampshire which is relatively close to the Berkshire and Wiltshire county borders, so it would be by no means certain that Elizabeth would have to have been born in Hampshire. If she was there are also missing Hampshire parish registers in the area e.g. Ashmansworth (lost in a fire).
Regards
Valda
