I can see one on all census from 1841-1881 born 1836 parents Joseph & Sarah Beckinsale then married to Charles Fox, is that the one, if so, which census have you already got and which are needed?

Hi,
The Benjamin Beckinsale listed there, aged 1 in 1841, was my great-great grandfather. I have loads of info on the Beckinsales, though not specifically on Dinah.
But someone else I know has traced this family back several hundred years.

Thanks!
To see the Lancashire Beckinsales in 1881 you need to search for Beckersol in Golborne, near Leigh. This is the least accurate census transcript I have ever seen, even allowing for the bad writing on the original. E.g Ashton should be Aston, Clanville should be Clanfield, Kinwick should be Winwick etc. etc. Almost nothing is correct.
Poor old Benjamin ended up in the County Asylum at Prestwich, where he was logged under the unique name of Bagintail, which was also used in the GRO Index.
