There's only one burial in Beds after 1775 of an Elizabeth Capon - 6 Oct 1846 at Lidlington age 80. She may have been a second wife of John, or a wife of the John baptised 1758, so not the one you're looking for.

The only marriages in Beds on the IGI after 1790 of an Elizabeth Capon are at Lidlington in 1805 and Southill in 1797. There was an Elizabeth baptised in Southill in 1771 but no Elizabeth baptised in Lidlington.

What does the Lidlington marriage give as her parish of residence and the names of the witnesses? Unfortunately the age of Elizabeth Brandon doesn't match - she was 50 ie 50-54 in 1841 and was 60 on burial on 18 Apr 1847 at Lidlington. But that's the only possibility in Beds

The names CAPON and CATON were interchangeable in the 18th century, so perhaps the marriage of Elizabeth Caton to Thomas Rainbow at Pulloxhill in 1800 should be considered.

Thankyou StevanG I will take a look at that.
You are right about the Capon/Caton/Catton, Joseph Elizabeths father turned from a Caton to a Capon. In the parish register it stated he spelled his name as Capon and not Caton! they have lead me a merry dance keep changing their name.
