Just wondering if anyone has any information on Albert John Cope or his son Albert John Harrold Cope (abt 1900)? 

Kelly's directory and Post Office records indicate that they own many pubs in the Essex area. 

I know Albert John Harrold Cope married Nancy Graham Clark (B:1900) in 1922 (Parish: St George Hanover)

Even just a place/date of birth would help me on my way...

looking for Albert Johns from 1871 onward, theres a few, but only a couple in the London area - and this one caught me eye ... albeit south of the River ....

this is really great stuff...

My Grandmother did once mention that some of this side of her family were born in Clapham so this sounds very positive... and Wandsworth seems to be near Clapham on the map so it all seems to link.

Kent 1913 Post Office Directory lists Albert John Cope

All the other Post Office Directories all refer to Alfred John Cope aswell...

Most of what i've found so far is circumstantial too so I think I need to take your advice re: birth certs... 

Thank you for looking into the 1901 census - my site doesn't have that and your help given me a new avenue for looking into...

The Directories were later than I had imagined.


Wandsworth is the overall Regn District and certainly encompasses Clapham ...
