Hi to anyone who may have wondered what i found at Truro..well not alot really! I have now got the marriage cert of Shadrach and Ann Osborne  26/3/1881..her father was indeed Joseph as per Kris and Althea's research. They were both resident at Indian Queens and aged 21 and 18 respectively. I am now awaiting his death cert from 1936 in case the informant ties up with what I think ref him becoming Richard/Joseph.
What did confuse the issue slightly was that I found the marriage of Abraham to Fanny Richards and it looks as if his father was Joseph and not Isaac, although it wasnt very clear, so that has now led me to possible parents  Joseph Grigg and Phillipa Bullock with Abrahams baptism at St Ervan Bible Christian Circuit, but Joseph MIGHT be the brother of Isaac my first choice.Am now checking this line of thought.
So back to the drawing board, this family is certainly leading me a merry dance.

Hi Ronnie,

Lovely to hear the update. Nothing like further confusion here. Just taking a look about. I do note there are 2 Abraham Griggs in St Dennis in 1841. One the son of Philippa so that is good news.

Some of the bible Christian Records List Philippa as the daughter of Edmund and Philippa Bullock  Wink

Son Richard's baptism lists parents as Jacob and Philippa father miner of St Dennis

I note Joseph is Miner, Streamer, Lab of St Col or St Dennis. Let me know if you have the baptisms.

Joseph GRIGG Bachelor of St Dennis = Philippa BULLOCK spinster otp by Banns 29 May 1819 St Columb Major Joseph Signed Philippa signed with her mark witnesses George Commons and James Dennis

Does look like Isaac and Joseph are brothers - children of Abraham and Jane

Joseph GRIGG 10 Oct 1791 St Dennis
Isaac 30 Aug 1799 St Dennis

Abraham GRIGG = Jane SOLOMON 6 May 1781 St Dennis

The Banns of the marriage between Edmund BULLOCK of St Columb and Philippa COMMON otp were read Sunday Oct 24, 31 and Nov 7 1790 St Enoder

Edmund BULLOCK of St Columb Major = Philippa COMMON by Banns 27 Nov 1790 St Enoder Edmund signed Philippa signed with her mark witnesses ? Common and Richd Poole

Thanks Kris, that all makes sense, just a small deviation but same family. Had the same thing in my own family but managed to prove who belonged to who by sighting headstones.
