Hi all

I am struggling - still with the Fenn (Denham Bucks) half of the family. Found a marriage on Free BMD of Hally (sometimes noted as Holly)Joseph Fenn b 1893 of Denham to Florence Hook (no idea of age/birth place) 3 children so far Henry 1914 Kingston upon Thames and Phyliss 1917 and Percy 1919 both Uxbridge. I have contacted all 37 people on genes with a Florence Hook and not one match can anyone help with her DOB place of birth etc

Hi

There are 10 Florence Hook's born between 1893-1897 on the 1901 census.  You need a copy of the marriage cert to establish her age at that time and her fathers name and occupation.  This info will (hopefully) help to find her on the 1901 census

You can view the 1901 index for free at

Hi,

You'll probably need the marriage cert to find out Florence's age and father's name & occupation, as there are lots of Florence Hooks in the 1901 census, and without a bit more information, nothing to prove which one she would be

Barbara

edit: (sorry Carole, great minds & all that!)

Thanks guys- no magic wands then. I'll have to order the marriage cert!

I didn't realise that Hook was such a common name
