Hi Haysom
Welcome to RootsChat
Nothing at all showing for her on the OPRs is there The only clue I could see was the name of what looks like their first born daughter which might connect with the name of Susannah's mother:
GRACE BUCHANAN HARDY Christening: 22 JAN 1840 Dundonald, Ayr, Scotland

Hi Haysom,
I have found the family MI in Crosbie Kirkyard: Erected by Gabriel Douglas and Margaret Anderson his spouse in memory of their son John who died 17 Oct 1835 aged 6 months and their daughter Chrustina Elizabeth who died 15 Aug 1840 aged 6 yrs. The above Gabriel Douglas died 3rd Sept 1846 aged 62 yrs. His daughter Rhonda died 22 Dec 1846 aged 30 John Anderson Merchant Riccarton died at Troon 17th Aug 1838 aged 87 yrs. His son George died in Petersburg State of Virginia 24th May 1838 aged 39 yrs. The above Margaret anderson died at Glasgow 26th June 1867 aged 71 yrs. Margaret Howat Relict of Henry Thomson died 20th Nov 1908 aged 81 yrs.
Gabriel Douglas by his first marriage had a daughter Rhonda mentioned on the MI above. Also a daughter Susan b. 1818 married 8th May 1838 (as published in the Ayr Advertiser) to Henry Hardy Also a daughter Jean b abt 1819 married 27th Feb 1839 as published in the Ayr Advertiser) to Richard Marshall
Margaret Anderson (2nd wife of Gabriel Douglas) had a previous marriage to William Cunningham Howat (farmer) married 25th May 1860 and they had a daughter Mary Howat b abt 1822 married 9th Nov 1842 (as published in the Ayr Advertiser) to David T Buchanan a son William Howat b about 1824 d 15 Aug 188? Liverpool (as published in the Ayr Advertiser) a daughter Margaret listed on the MI above Gabriel Douglas and Margaret Anderson besides daughter Christina and son John listed on the MI had a daughter Ann b abt 1836 married 2 Jul 1855 to Robert Sturrock.
Gabriel Douglas was living in Templehill in the 1841 census. His daughter Rhonda died in Irvine.
Son John Anderson was possibly married to Mary Boyd who died on 3rd Oct 1832 but it would need to be further researched to confirm this.
Hope this helps

Phew, LL, that's great info for Haysom
Were there no details of Gabriel's first wife, mother to Rhonda, Susannah and Jane? Hopefully, sister Jane lived past 1855 to let Haysom confirm her name from her DC.
Regards.
Monica

Also at Templehill:
Hillan Hardie, 25 - likely mis transcription of Henry? This is from Freecen, the other index even more misleading.... Robert Hardie, 2 Grace, 1

It now gets confusing as I have found another headstone in Crosby Kirkyard that connects Gabriel Douglas and a possbile 3rd wife of his. You will have to do some research to verify the next bits that I send you:
Erected by James Alexander Cabinet Maker, Troon in memory of his children Anna died 27th Jan 1840 aged 5 mnths William dies 28 Sep 1833 9?) aged 11 mths Jessie died 28 Aug 1836 (?) aged 19 mnths Isabella died 22 Dec 1839 aged 9 yrs The above James ALexander died 27 Oct 1867 aged 76 yrs His grandson Gabriel Douglas who died in infancy His son James late of St. Vincent died 29 May 1878 aged 490 yrs His wife Agnes Tillery died 21 Jul 1893 aged 91 yrs His daughter Agnes Relict of Mark Thompson dies 30th Nove 1903 And his last surviving daughter Jane who died at Troon 30th May 1906
Notes: Agnes Tillery was the Post Mistress at troon 1855 - 1879 Int eh 1841 census there is also a son Richard aged 10. Either someone has re-chiselled this stone mistaking 3's for 5's or the origional inscriptions had the wrong years. Isabella's death is certainly in Dec 1839 (Ayr Advertiser) and not 1859. Stone erected by Watson & Adam Troon. Agnes relict of Mark Thompson had a prior marriage to Gabriel Douglas on 14th April 1845 as per Ayr Advertiser. The notice in the AA also indicated that Gabriel Douglas' first wife was Elizabeth Paterson d. 20th April 1831.
There are notes that this Stone and MI are connected with the next two.

Monica that looks like the right one with Gabriel living Templehill.
I will see if I can find a Robert Hardie death that matches with the 2yr old in the census. I bet they transcribed the name wrong for Henry.
