Could someone please look up for me the family of Humphrey and Elizabeth Ford in the 1851 census. Both Humphrey and Elizabeth were born in Yeaveley and would be about 70. I know Humphrey was alive in 1861 but I don't know when Elizabeth died. The family were probably in the St Alkmund district of Derby and Humphrey was a linen or cotton weaver.
Thank you Eric

Hi 1851 HO 107/2142 Folio 391 Sch 21 Little Chester, Derby Ford Humphrey 74 Hand Loom Weaver born ? This has been transcribed as Edleston - I think it says Ealeston? Elizabeth 74 Yeavely Elizabeth 37 Dau Reeler at Silk Mill Yeavely Longman Mary Ann G/Dau Charwoman Darley ** ** This bpt on IGI place was Darley Abbey.
Thanks for the reply. I might be able to find Elizabeth's death date now. There were too many Elizabeth Fords dying in Derbyshire in the 20 year gap between 41 & 61!!!! Don't know an Ealeston or Edleston. In 1861 he gives his place of birth as Yeavel(e)y which is in the parish of Shirley and most of his children were baptised there.
Thanks again Eric
