Hi Annie,

This does not look very likely to me as we do have

John PROUT = Priscilla GLEDDON of Kilkhampton 7 June 1770 Tintagel (witnesses here may help)

and

Thomas PROUT = Charity WORTH 23 Jan 1759 Egloskerry

We do have a

John PROUT bap 2 Sep 1747 Tintagel parents Isaac and Ann

Isaac PROUT = Ann FRENCH (Both of Tintagel) 30 July 1746 Trevalga (unfortunately too early for witnesses)

I do not see a baptism for him but I do note

Isaac PROUT = Margery PENROSE 25 Nov 1720 St Breward

3 baptisms on IGI Tintagel starting 1724 - so 4 year gap. If I was interested in him I think I would like to get a look at that 4 year period myself. (register maybe in bad nick but it is amazing what you can sometimes pick out when looking at it yourself knowing what you are looking for)
