This is a new service from London Metropolitan Archives for anyone interested in the history of London.

There is a free searchable index of 10,000 wills from the Archdeanery Court of Middlesex online and for £4.00 or $6.70 you can buy a digital copy of any will online.

The first phase will cover the period 1609 to 1810 and wills from the Consistory Court of London, the Commissary Court of Surrey, marraige bonds and allegations, apprenticeship indentures and certificates will follow.
