Smallbone
« on: Wednesday 23 April 08 12:21 BST (UK) »

Hello,
Could someone look up the following reference on the 1851 census please? 107/1691/40/13/44  I have a transcription which says Thomas Samallbone 58 Beenham, Wife Sarah 61 Bucklebury and 2 grandchildren.  I think that there may have been a mistrascrit and this is James Smallbone.  Everything else fits with what I already have except the Christian name.
Thanks

Hello Suz,
Thanks for looking. It sounds to me now that both James and Thomas had daughters called Sarah 1815/17, and I have married off the wrong Sarah to John Moore of Reading. Back to the drawing board.
