Hi Suz and Wozzle,
I believe you have found Her !!! as Hubby says His Gran (Ethel May) had an Older Brother George,
I Know when I looked that was the only Birth Record I could see.
so I went on the Durham Reg page and put all the details in and they dont have it, I would like to Know where to get a copy of BC, If anyone knows. I Just assumed it would be the Durham Office,
but thank you both for helping

thanks for email, have sent for BC, And also the MC for John William Stocks to Georgina Potts 1929, Hexham, not sure how we work out which John William is Hubby's Grandfather, I Found his death entry in sep Qtr 1957 age 55 Durham NW, So we know thats him as he died same year Hubby was born, but Hubby's Dad always said that his Father(John William) and His Brother Charles came up as Grave diggers to Durham from somewhere around Somerset, but not found a BC in that area, we may have to wait for the 1911 census to see if we can pin point where he was born,
but thanks for all your HELP and advice
