In 1962, my cousin killed herself and her mother. There has been great speculation in the family whether she meant to kill her mother or whether it was an accident. I d like to lay it to rest one way or another. I know there was an inquest. Can I see the inquest report? At the time all of us still alive now were too young to attend and the adults never really spoke of it again.
Also would it have been reported in the local press and where can I get to look at the reports? I m not native to Nottingham so I don t really know where to start. Any advice would be great. Thanks Sorcha

nottingham Evening post would probably have carried the report
If the incident happened in Nottinghamshire -rather than Nottigham tself there may also be reports in the more local "advertisers " which were (and still are) published weekly and came out on a Friday.

Hi Sorcha
I have found an article in The Times online digital archive that may be of interest - I will PM you with the details and you could let me know whether it's relevant to you or not.

Thanks for the replies, I just wondered if anyone knows anything about Barrack Lane, Nottingham, as this is where they died.
