FLISHER - births & marriages

I am trying to find the name of the parents of:
Irene Eleanor FLISHER, born about 1901 in the Devonport area
and Gladys Mary FLISHER born in 1903.

Also, is there any record of their marriages  in the 1920's.

Have you looked at FreeBMD?     There seem to be a lot of Flisher entries on there.   If you can't find your specific ones then I am sure someone will search the full index for you.

They are both on FreeBMD in the births.  If you google it you should get the web address or you can access it free on www.ancestry.co.uk

Just did a quick scan of the births for Irene and Glady's and as they were both registered in Devonport I tried looking for a Flisher marriage prior to 1901. The only one I could find was George John Flisher to Ellen Jane Sobey in Stoke Dameral 3rd quarter 1898.

Then I looked for them on the 1901 censuses and they are living in Devonport with no children so this is possibly the right parents. The name was transcribed as Fisher.

Thanks Margaret,

Ellen (Sobey) Flisher died at age 39 in 1908.  So if one or both
Irene and Gladys are the children of George and Ellen, I wonder what happened to them
