Can anyone help or suggest a way to locate Yew Tree Cottage in Stoke Lacy around 1900? I'm also looking for any Olivers or Langfords in that area at the smae time.

Hi Holmes,
I don't know whether this is of any use to you at all but if you were to Google "k j & d excavations" Hereford...they come up as being based at Yew Tree Cottage,Stokes Lane ,Stoke Lacy..
I don't remember a great deal about that particular place to know if it is likely to be an old building or not..and perhaps there were lots of Yew Tree's in Bromyard!
But i thought i would mention it - you never know!Flo'

Thanks Flo, you sing like nightingale! Your info actually confirms another source, so it's looking good. If it's the house I think it is, then it is old. I've found it on a 1895 map. Maybe there's a yew tree still there, I'll have Watson check it out.
