Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me where I could contact to get a birth certificate for Thorne District (from 1904)?

I've got certificates from the GRO before but I'm not sure that this one will be the right one.  I thought if I wrote to the correct local council (or who ever) they might check the fathers name for me?

Hi.

The thorne register office closed in 1947 and moved to Don Valley, this in turn closed in 1974 and the records were moved to Doncaster and Barnsley.
