McNeill family

Alexander Mc Neill married Catherine McTaggart at Kilcalmonell and Kilberry 2/12/1854 Family then born in Argylshire.
Can`t find birth of Alexander Mc Neill
about 1826 it says father born Ardnamurchan on his first son`s birth certificate. On other census 1871 says Inverness shire. Stuck on this.

Hi Thank you for information on clan gathering. From this site (rootschat)I have traced my g grandfather Alexander McNeill 1826 to Kinloch Moidart Ardnamurchan and found his father Angus c1775 Kinlochmoidart and his grandfather Angus McNeil c1745 but although he lived in Kinlochmoidart and was a sheep farmer I don't know where he was born.
