My first post, hope I'm doing this right!
I'm looking for Henry Grove (or Gore) Frankham Christening 10th Jul 1810 , Cirencester Glos. His father was William Frankham. This from the IGI. Henry married my 3x great grandfathers' sister Jane Almond in about 1836 in London. I'd like to know more about Henry's parents and whether Henry had any siblings if possible. Henry was a hatter in Southwark and committed suicide in 1841.

Hi Historycat, and welcome to RootsChat and the Gloucestershire board
I shall be in Gloucestershire Archives this week, and will take a look at the Cirencester parish register for Henry and his family.
Regards,
Gill

Hello again
I found Harry Grove Frankham born June 18 and baptised 10 July 1810 son of William and Elizabeth in the Cirencester register. Although I looked for siblings in the years around 1810, there were no other Frankhams there, nor could I find a marriage for his parents, so I think the family may have originated from elsewhere.
Hope this helps a little. Maybe someone with the Gloucestershire Marriage Index can find the marriage and Elizabeth's maiden name for you.
Gill

The IGI has a number of submitted entries for William Frankham (or Francombe) marriage to Elizabeth Bickerton 24 February 1806 Henbury. (Henbury is near Bristol).
The only marriage in the index is the one mentioned above, the spelling is Francombe.
In the 1841 census there is a William Francombe, labourer, still in Bristol.
As Gill says perhaps they were not from Gloucestershire

Many thanks for this, it's given us Henry's mothers Christian name which we didn't have. So if William and Elizabeth came from the Bristol area the question is why did they come to Cirencester, why not stay in Bristol or move closer to the city? Ah well, I shall keep looking!

Snip
You did not say it but the entry you found in the IGI was extracted from church records - the film used is of the Bishop's transcripts. I've found very few errors in LDS extracted entries but of course the BT's may not have been correct!
If you search the Cirencester extracted info from church records at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm you will find no Frankham entries. It is therefore unlikely that there will anything in the PR's for the family.
You might have some Frankham luck by searching parishes near Cirencester so you'll find Parloc a free parish locator prog. useful in finding them. Get Parloc via http://www.parloc.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/parlocdl.html and have the aspirins handy!!
Regards
Chas
