James Nicolson maried Margaret Farries McLean in 1878 in Scotland.He was a telegraph engineer. They had a large family who I am trying to find out about....
Laurel McLean Nicolson born 1883 Uruguay
Irene B Nicolson born 1885 Canada
Bernice B Nicolson  born 1886  Uruguay
Gertrude  born 1890  Argentina
Margaret E born 1895 New York
Also a daughter whose name looks like Alvina/ Albius / born 1888 Argentina
Also a child possibly named Erskine born 1879 and died 1880
Also a son Alexander born 1880, don't know where

In 1901 most of the family were in Edinburgh,father not present, asume he was working away.
Have no success in finding any deaths or marriages for the children in Scotland, so think they returned abroad.

Need help !!!!

IGI has a christening record (including birthdate) for Bernice McLean Nicolson 1886 Montevideo (parents Jaime and Margarita).
Have you looked on www.findmypast.com to see if you can spot any of the family leaving the U.K. (1890-1960).
