I wonder if it would be possible to get a proper photo of this memorial please ?- I have this one I got from another site - (which I need to find again so I can give credit ! ) but I was hoping to get a better one !! what a fascinating cemetery this seems to be ... has anybody been there ??
hi Liverpool Annie just saw your enquiry re Brookwood - I had a conversation on another site re this place and this is some of the answers we got by contacting the cemetry
Photography is not permitted in the cemetery (rule 35) except with a photographic permit, and photographs of memorials can only be taken with the permission of the grave owner countersigned by the company (rule 7).
We do offer a grave search service for friends and relatives with a varying scale of charges depending on the depth of information required.
Thanks for that ... but I heard they were taking this memorial down .... did they ?
I was hoping to get a photo with the names on it !! .... just as an aside ... why would they stop people taking photos of a memorial ?? .... I don't understand that ... do you ??

Hi Ive no idea - on the other site i mentioned, we reckoned it was half because of privatisation, and vandalism could come into it as well. The only reason I say this is because someone offered to go there and look for a grave for me and take a photo and details down but theres no way of doing it unless you can get permission - so to cut a long story short Ive basically got to email Brookwood directly and enquire how much they will charge for the info I want. Its sickening to think that our relatives are there and we cant look for ourselves - but hey ho, thats England for you! Maz
