Hi Grub,
Unless anyone wants to add anything, I think this thread has been completed.
This has been a fanatastic effort by all and a great outcome. My idle moment on Anzac Day and the thought that someone may have fun with this search, has exceeded all expectations.
I've started, so I'll finish .

Jenn and the family 1960

What a wonderfull story unfolded before our eyes. Each day we looked eagerly to see the next posting and who had found what. Eveyone should be very proud of the effort went into this thread to make it such a successfull outcome and not to forget the marvellous information gathered for the families to treasure forever.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them".
kind regards to all Jenn

Fly free.......

Just to let you know that I have had a reply from Nick Lynch, as he was about to fly out from an airport. (He's a busy man.....always off here, there, and everywhere! )
Quoting him.....
" Ann and I are trying to find a date to meet so we can give the letter over. I hope within the next few weeks before I go overseas.
I will as promised send you a scan of Allison, and also pictures from my brother Mark at the graves. Believe it or not I still have not seen any of his pictures."
and "I looked quickly at the link tonight and once again am amazed by what I have seen. Unbelievable! Great work from so many people."
He has also said that he will post a scan of Allison and a link to his brother's pictures at the graves.
He's been away from home for 5 weeks, so it could take a while.....
I wonder if SBS will decide to follow up on the story......

What a nice surprise to find the Anzac Puzzle - has another story added to it.
I'm looking forward to seeing the picture of Allison - and the pictures of Nick's brother Mark at the graves.
Congratulations once again to all of you who worked so hard to find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Hi all. I have continued reading all the info in this thread and am fascinated that it is still going. Nick and I have not caught up yet but the chain of events continues, as just today I had a letter from a long lost relative who would like to make contact with me. She read the original article in the Herald Sun on ANZAC Day. Thanks again from my family and me for all the info you have uncovered and I too am looking forward to seeing Mark's photos. By the way, what happens to this thread when it is finally delared completed? Anne.

Hi Anne,
Glad the chain of events is still continuing. What a journey for you, too.
As far as I know, this thread will stay stored on the Completed Topics Board.
I think.....someone will correct me if I am wrong......it will stay near the top as it has been "stickied".
Also, while it is unlocked, we can still post on it. Once it is locked, we will not be able to do so. So I'm hoping it will stay unlocked until we get the photo of Allison.

I've marked it Completed, and stickied, so it will stay near the top for now. Hopefully, Allisons photo will be the clincher. Job well done, all. Grub
