Albert Clarence & Rosie Lindale with daughters

Joseph Myers was born c1811, and Mary Denby, born c1811 were both on the 1841 census records. At this time they lived in Spring Street, Manningham, Bradford, West Riding.
They were married - but so far I cannot trace any details of their marriage.
This of course could lead to previous generations.
Anyone have an idea on how to find this information?

Hi DonL
the IGI has a marriage for them 3rd April 1831 Bradford have you checked there for their baptisms? http://www.familysearch.org
Do you have a more accurate birth year and birthplace from the 1851 & later census?

I found it's a different address!
I see from the 1851 census that Mary was a widow, so would just have to assume that Joseph was born Bradford, possible baptisms from IGI: 9th March 1810 parents John Myers & Martha, or 7th Nov 1813 parents John Myers & Betty
Mary was aged 39, born in Bradford, so here's a possible baptism for her from the IGI: 21st April 1811 Bradford, father Jonas Denby, no mother's name given
1851 census in case you don't have it: HO107/2308 fol.702 p.15 13 Queen Street, Manningham St.Jude, Bradford MYERS Mary head wid 39 William son s 19 Maker Up (Stuffed Goods) Mary Ann dau 17 Power Loom Weaver (Worsted) Denby son 14 Spinner (Worsted) Thomas " 10 Scholar Joseph " 7 " Sarah A dau 6 " Henry son 1 Mary GILL lodger s 19 Power Loom Weaver (Worsted) all born Bradford

Hi Don, as per pm, I mentioned I had some links to the name Denby.
I have a Jonas Denby who married 1st - Mary Brear on the 9th December 1838, Bradford. I have certificate. He is aged 20 on certificate and his father was also Jonas Denby, This Mary Brear was 20 years old on the cert. and born Bradford, her father was David Brear. This Mary Denby (Brear) died age 43 on the 8th January 1862. They were living at Snow Hill Bradford. I have certificate Jonas Denby remarried. 11th December 1862- no sense in waiting too long
He married Mary Brear's first cousin - Mary Brear, bp 1815. Bradford, her father was Thomas Brear brother to David Brear. I have certificate of second marriage. Jonas' age is given as 43 years. and his father Jonas Denby is now listed as deceased.
Confused yet On the census one can be forgiven for thinking they are the same Mary as age and birthplace are very similar. I can tell you it gave me a real hard time until we sorted out that there was actually two Mary Brears.
Obviously this Jonas Denby cannot be the father of your Mary Denby born circa 1811. Perhaps his sister. but the only sister I have for him, Mary Denby, bp. 1824, married a Joseph Cockcroft in 1847.
My line is the Brear line but I do have a contact who is linked to the Denby lot of Bradford, but appear to be originally from Haworth.
Hope this is of some help and not too confusing for you. Please pm me and I will pass on the contact details for you.
Margaret
