Hi
I am trying to help an English friend to fill some gaps in her father's life.
The situation is rather recent and the situation is complicated, as you will see, but the details are ;
Father died 9 September 2004 in Chch.
1. I am seeking a death notice/s to find likely place of burial, Probate/Will, names of any persons listed.
2. Name of his deceased wife
3. A check on Electoral Rolls
4. What information would be held on the Death Certificate in 2004?
If anyone can help could you please send me a Personal Message and I will give further details!

I don't have any anywhere near this date! What would there be?
Date of emigration? Deceased wife' s name? Place of death?

Have a look at the opening page of this board (the "stickered" items).
Topic - "NZ: Information on BDM Certificates" ... you'll find the answers to your questions there. (NZ BDM also has info on it's website).
But obviously, just because provision is made for certain questions on death certs, it does not necessarily guarantee that they all will have been answered, nor guarantee that the information supplied, is in fact correct ! (Mmm ... I guess you already know that  ) ?

Thanks Lucy I'll have a look at those sites. There are complications with this request for info hence my being a bit vague!
Living here and having knowledgeable family has meant my NZ research was quite easy, now I am doing it for someone else it's different story!
