Hoping to find 1841 census entry for

Thomas HAINES born about 1816 Alderbury
wife Jane born 1817 Alderbury
children Jane born 1837
Thomas 1840

No sign yet of Thomas. I suppose you are aware of the three other families in Alderbury on that census, if not lt me know and will send details.

On BMD two Births  are they yours

Jane Haines  dec qtr 1837  Alderbury  8 188

Thomas Haines Dec qtr 1840 Warminster 8  403

Hi there Pam,

I know there were others around Alderbury.
Still no luck locating Thomas and Jane and kids Jane and Thomas! grrrrrr very frustrating coz they have to be somewhere don't they!?!

I had found the birth for Jane and had Thomas as Alderbury Mar qtr 1840. Will have to get certificates or check out the register I suppose to make sure I've got the right Thomas tho.

They left for Australia in 1850 so the 1851 isn't of any use unfortunately!
Any other ideas appreciated.

Think it best to send for certificates  and confirm that you have correct ones before wasting any more effort.

i have just been through the entire parish in 1841 and they are definately not in alderbury.where did they embark from?? maybe they had already moved?
