Would SKP be able to find marriage record for George Hubbard and Suzell ??
I have details of couple 1871 census.
Mill Hill Upchurch Kent
RG10/984/Folio 127/Page 15
George Hubbard Head 48 Waterman bn Upchurch ?
Suzell Wife 48 bn London
Jane dau 18
George son 11
Alfred son 8
William son 6
Albert son 4 All children born Upchurch.
George may have been born Newington, Suzell was born Walworth London.
Have no details of previous census records.
Maybe the couple married in London where Suzell was born, would appreciate any help.

Hi Victoria
There's no marriage for a George Hubbard & Suzell in Upchurch, so they probably were married in London.
There's no Baptism for a George Hubbard in Upchurch, I'll have a look at Newington.
I do have the Baptisms for the children of George & Suzell.
Would you like the details?

There are HUBBARDs in Newington, but no Baptism for a George, the only one for abt 1823 is a John.

17th Feb 1867 Arthur Albert s of George & Suzell Note: Bargeman
There's no note to say the first two were twins, so possibly the parents just decided to have them baptised together.
I see there's a George age 11 on the 1871 census.
This might be him, perhaps a mistake with the mother's name?

Nothing for a Jane Hubbard.

Hi Rog,
Thank you very much for this information. James Hubbard was the uncle of my great grandmother Harriett Hubbard who was born in Rainham 1838. You mentioned a statue in the centre of Sittingbourne, is this on record anywhere. Most of James ( Jimmy Hubbards ) brothers captained his boats, including Harrietts` father Richard Hubbard.
Thanks again for your help.( are there anymore records in Upchurch re: the Hubbards ) I believe quite a few of them were buried in Upchurch graveyard. Just recently a friend sent me photos of Hubbard Cottages in Otterham also The Three Sisters pub which I believe was owned by James Hubbard ( I have a copy of his will )

I've located two Suzelle Hubbard's so far in my research, they are aunt & niece :-
1. Daughter of Thomas Hubbard and Amelia Morris born c 1854 in Camberwell, Surrey
2. Daughter of Thomas William James Hubbard and Rebeccas Gregory born 1884 in Rye, Sussex
Don't know if this helps at all!
