Hi Thank you all for submitting your researc. It all does help especially the census records, alli. It is a muddle. How will we work out who is her correct father?
Info passed onto me from a family researcher.. # Name: Eliza Matilda ABREO # Given Name: Eliza Matilda # Surname: ABREO # Sex: F # Birth: About Apr 1813 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England 1 # Death: 18 Feb 1854 in 17 New street, St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands, United Kingdom 1 # Occupation: Seemstress, Needleworker
Father: Joseph Pierre ABREO b: in La Roche, Pitha, Portugal
Marriage 1 James Henry FRENCH b: in Poole, Dorset, England
second marriage: Marriage 2 Pierre LA ROCHE Elizabeth Matilda DE LA ROCHE b. 1813 Plymouth, d. 1854 St Helier.
Elizabeth's birth record must be incorrect as she would have married at 11. Be more like 1803 than 1813 Maybe Abreo is the second marriage and Pierre de la Roche also seems to have been her father !
