Dear hume24

Thank you for the records from IGI. Grin All seems to fit together, they had a few children back then, didnt they?
How far is Bervie from Kincardinshire? They didnt move too far back then. Maybe work related?
You have been a great help and can branch out now to find Thomas & Katherine Spence's details.
Parents and siblings...
Is there any death records available on any of the family you sent me?

Cheers

Hello Velcro

Bervie was a parish in the county of Kincardineshire.  Created in 1845 - abolished in 1975.

Also known as Inverbervie.  The present day town/village of Inverbervie lies to the south of Aberdeen.

Any of the entries found by hume24 - if they are'extracted', will be available to be downloaded at the pay per view site www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk - £1.20 each. Min spend £6

Link to site which explains about Bervie:

Hi Velcro and Steve,

They are all extracted records, so you should be able to find them on ScotlandsPeople. Beware though - the original records may only give the details I've given above. However, if you want to find what Thomas' occupation was, I would definitely take a look.

According to this site, http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/sct/KCD/Bervie/index.html#Cemeteries, monumental inscriptions have been recorded for Bervie. You may be lucky and find one of your Spences. Smiley
