i have just found the birth and christening on the i.g.i. of a relative.
william entwistle - born 9-12-1833 - christening 25-12-1833 at ebenezer chapel st. peters placce-primitive methodist, stockport cheshire england.
parents :  richard entwistle and dinah pears.
do any of you out there know anything about this church  ??

david, they are great - do you know if there is anywhere i can buy a print of this as the images are fantastic on screen but blurry when i print them out. this is a great help. do you know what denomination thee chapel is ??

It is a Primitive Methodist Chapel. I have printed the picture and it is not blury  Smiley However If you right click on the picture you can save it and use  a photo editing program to try and sharpen it.
The Primitive Methodist Church was one of the Methodist Churches which united in 1932. The Primitive Methodists were a major off-shoot of the principal stream of Methodism - the Wesleyan Methodists - in 19th Century Britain.
