St Michael Archangel Burials
« on: Saturday 26 April 08 00:54 BST (UK) »

Can anyone please advise me,
Where would I find out about the records for burials as far back as the 1600's for the Church St Michael Archangel - Mere?
Most of my Mills family was buried there- and I would love to have details or the possibility of headstone inscriptions - depending on how they have survived over the years.
Cheers

Hi Kaz,

I did take a look at the burials earlier but alas they didn't seem very helpful I am afraid. It seems Edward was rather a common name in the Mills Family. The burial register was very limited, no ages provided in those times and unfortunately we have 3 Edwards buried 1702-1710. No Joan/Joane but we do have a couple of Janes listed  Undecided

Thanks Kris, would it be possible to have those details for the Edwards, and also the Jane burial. I noticed they had listed during my search her name as Jean, Joan, and Joanne. One never knows - its a long shot.
Cheers

Have you seen this tree - owner doesn't seem to have information on Edward but maybe something of interest to you  Wink
