In 1851, John Strout, is living with his in laws. they are Thomas and Mary Dennis. ( Piece: HO107/1899 Place: Alternon -Cornwall Enumeration District: 4a Civil Parish: Lewannick Ecclesiastical Parish: - Folio: 87 Page: 11 Schedule: 40 Address: Pollyphant ).

Mary Dennis bc 1790( widow ), Jane Hender bc 1800( widow ) and Samuel Peter bc 1785 are all born in Northill.
I am wondering, if Mary, Jane and Samuel ( Peter ) are siblings ? Can someone find Baptisms for them please ?
Also marriages for Mary ( Peter ? ), to Thomas Dennis. Jane ( Peter ? ) to Unknown Hender( looking at censuses in 1851 and 1841, this could be a John Hender, saddler, who has wife Jane / Jenny ), please ?
John Strout, also names one of his children, Mary Peter Strout.
Thomas Dennis married Mary Davey at Lewannick 25/2/1830, so it looks like Mary Strout is a daughter of her first marriage. There's a possible baptism for Mary 5/11/1826 daughter of William Davy & Mary in Lewannick. I think she married John as Davey sept qtr 1850 Launceston vol 9 pg 169, although John appears as Stunt on the full GRO index and on FreeBmd. The only Strout showing up marrying in Launceston registration district between 1841 & 1851 is an Elizabeth.
There's a marriage in North Hill batch M052951 of Jenney Pter (sic) to Thomas Hender 10/7/1817. There are some Hender Peter baptisms & marriages in North Hill, so possibly the families had previously intermarried.
Mary Hawke Dennis was baptised 28/12/1834 daughter of James Hawke Dennis & Eleanor at Lanivet. James Hawke Dennis was baptised 8/8/1813 son of James Dennis & Mary at Lewannick.
There's a gap in the North Hill baptisms on the IGI between 1772 and 1813.
Thank you Fizzy. Yes the Jane / Jennifer interchangable names, can be confusing. I was not aware of this until I was enlightrned on this site. Now, I have a few, in my tree.
