Thank you Carolyn,

No wonder I didn't find them - you are a true Sherlock.

I'll try 1881 again and see what I find.

Best wishes,

Ian.

Hi Ian,

Was Rebecca the 2nd wife of george as I found  a marriage in 1886 without a female name to go with it.

Hi again Carolyn,

I'm getting really confused by this one!

George senior has so many occupations, they are living in different areas each time and now the names seem mixed up and confused!

Is that because they were transcribed incorrectly or written in the wrong order on the night I wonder?

I'm getting myself in knots with this research.

Huh Sad Undecided

Thanks for helping though and hopefully you've found the right ones - more than I can do! Ho!

best wishes,

Ian.

Hi Ian,

Your family is so complicated. I thought I had problems!!

I think they mixed up the names on the 1881 census.

Did you see in Wavertree in 1901 there is an Elizabeth Moore born 1873 Norwich married to an Ernest moore born 1871 Norwich.

When you look for the marriage it is Elizabeth Reeve who married Henry Moore in West Derby.

or Ernest Moore married Mary Ann Reeve 1895 Norwich

Good Hunting

Has anyone ever come across an Aminta Reeve or Minty Reeve?  She is one of my ancestors and Married into the Briggs family of Bircham.  She was born c1775 and said in 1851, that she was born near Woodton.

No luck as yet!

Hi Carolyn

Thanks for looking and researching - hadn't come across the MOORE connection before!

I'm getting dizzy with all this conflicting information, I thought it would be easier the more knowledge you gain but it seems the complete opposite!  Roll Eyes

I'll keep hunting and post any success here! (Don't hold your breath though - lol)

Hi Teddy,

I wish I was as lucky as you to get that far back. I'm still struggling in the last half of the 19th century!

If I see anything I'll get back to you.

Best wishes,

Ian.

PS

Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1892
REEVE Elizabeth
to
MOORE Henry
at
Wavertree, St. Bridget

Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1898
REEVE George
to
CORNER Mary A
at
Wavertree, St. Bridget
(this one I know is correct at least!)
