In December I posted about the Oxfordshire FHS's latest project - that of creating a "wills library".
It's linked from the yellow web resources box at www.ofhs.org.uk
There are now 680 documents on the site, and 7,700 "name mentions".
So - a significant library already ! Do go & explore - there have been a lot of additions since December! If you find exciting links (your ancestor may have been mentioned in someone else's will) - do post about it. We'd love to feature some connections made through the "library" in our next journal.
And - if you have will transcripts - the library will grow if you dig deep, and forward them to Dave Beames, project coordinator. Details about that aspect are on the site. About 80 folk visit the site each day. If you have a will uploaded to the site, you're welcome to link to it from your own website.
Thanks, Dave, and Alan Simpson, who's worked on the software behind the scenes. !

[quote author=PaulaToo Nothing for me yet, but I've put it in Favourites, because one day...........
Paula -
You list as an interest BARTLETT of Henley on Thames.
There are wills at Oxfordshire Record Office of:
Alice, wid., 1531
Thos., baker, 1632
Ralph, 1661
Robert, wheelwright, Northfield End, Henley, 1805
Mary, widow, Northfield End, Henley, 1808
Mary, widow, 1819
(Across the whole period there are more for Watlington.)
So - if any seems relevant to your line - please think about contributing them to the collection !
Wendy
