Hi

I am trying to surprise my Father In Law by building a "This is your life book" to present to him on his birthday in November. This is a TOP SECRET project ( he has no idea how to use the internet.... luckily ), and I would be very happy to hear from any family member. The Washbrooks and Haines families were in Islip and Kidlington, Old Marston  and other nearby areas in Oxford.  4 of the Haines's are God parents to my Hubby.

F-i-L has little knowledge of his Washbrook line ( He thought he was going  to obtain his Washbrook Bible and Albums, but these have gone missing from the house they were kept in ).

All help would be greatfully appreciated.

F-i-L's  father ( Theodore Charles William Washbrook was born on 3rd Feb 1907 in Islip, his parents were William John Washbrook and Charlotte Ann, nee Matthews.

Thanks ever so much for your reply.

The only One item my  father-in-law has regarding his family is a birth certificate for Theodore Washbrook ( his father) which stated that William and Charlotte ( nee Matthews ) were his parents. I shall be sending off for the Marriage certificate.

William Washbrook head age 48 b Thrupp, Oxfordshire occ shepherd
Alice wife age 38 b Wootton
William son age 17 b Wootton
Hilda dau age 13 b Wootton
Thomas son age 10 b Wootton
Henry son age 10 b Wootton
Anny dau age 9 b Wootton
Albert son age 7 b Wootton
Charlotte dau age 6 b Wootton
Elsia dau age 4 b Wootton

  This is the only family i can find that might be yours Smiley Smiley
  I have PRs for Wootton and surrounding villages so if cert comes back with Alice as mother
  of William let me know and i will be happy to help you with your family Smiley
