I was wondering if there are any records of miners who died in mining accidents. I am helping someone research their tree and her great grandfather died in a mining accident in 1871 or before. Have tried census without any luck because his daughter changed her date of birth every time.

I am sorry it does cover Cornwall. But the name I was looking for wasn't there. I Was looking for John Andrews from 1851 to1873. There were some Andrews there and there was a John Anderson. Maybe she frabicated the story. The person I am researching is elizabeth Andrews born anytime from 1847 to 1859. she got married May 21, 1872, in London. Gives her father's name as John deceased. occupation mine captain. I guess she told her children that he was killed in a mining accident. From 1872 she went to Canada and in each of the census she was born a different year.

I'd suggest concentrating on the details of the marriage certificate - the witness names and Elizabeth's address at time of marriage. If you can find her in 1871, at least then, hopefully, you will have more information on where in Cornwall she came from, even if she wasn't living with her family then.
