1851 Census - Places of Worship

Alan Mann's website has a page about the 1851 Census - Places of Worship. This Census is important to the genealogist as a locator of churches attended by the people in England and Wales. It can assist with Scottish research to a lesser degree as the report for that country does not contain so much detail. If you're unable to find your ancestors in the established church then you may be able to determine what other churches a family might have attended by using the religious census. www.alanmann.com/class/files/1851religious.htm
