Irish Records on Ancestry

Hi All

What Irish records are available on Ancestry? are they any use for finding people?

any tips/links for sites relating to Irish records

I have finally decided to tackle my Irish ancestors, but I have no idea where they came from or any parish? im told i need a county and parish to trace them.

Im determined to find something.

any advice for me please

You can access Ancestry's irish collection through public librariaries.

If you go to Ancestry you can see what Irish records are available.
www.ancestry.co.uk/search/locality/dbpage.aspx?tp=3257&p=3250

To search for Irish relatives when you don't know where they lived try www.familysearch.org (many, not all, Irish births 1864 (start of civil registration)-c1882).
