Whoops. Put it right before someone wrote and said I had put Garrigill instead of Muggleswick. I have also completed Garrigill and that was on my mind when I posted the message.

Hello
Although I did visit Muggleswick last year in search of Ward ancestors, now I am starting to piece more together, I'd be really grateful if you could offer up the Ward transcriptions (haven't connected them as yet but it's possible that when/ if I get further back then i may need these)
I do know some of the Ward stones are part of a heritage as they are tableau stones
Many thanks indeed
Anne Ward

Hello. Yes the tomb stone is listed (under listed building) It is difficult to read in parts but here it is. :- John Ward son of John Ward departed this life the 8? day of May/1688.Enoch Ward departed this life on 9/February/1687. This is followed by a verse and then . Here lies the body of John Ward Minister of the gospel who resten from his labours the 16 day August AD 1717 in the ?? year of his age. Here lies th body of Elinor Ward wife of John Ward who departed this life June/29/1724. Followed by verse.
The next is a broken stone that I pieced together. In memory of Cuthbart (sic) Ward of Calfclose Hill who departed this life on the 16 day of September 1768 age 74 years. Also of Hannah his widow who departed this life 21 October 1788 age 94 years. Life how short eternity how long.
The next one is for:- Cuthbart Ward from Calfclose Hill died July 7 1747 age 77 years. Elizabeth wife departed July 19 1760 age 84 years.
