and well done Joe
I think there are a few odds and ends that moblac will be able to do using the IGI, Scotland's People and Ancestry 1841-1861, FreeCen 1841 and the D & G free 1851 census on http://www.dumgal.gov.uk/historicalindexes/census.aspx.

Wowzers...
A very very small contribution Rashgill Park near Locharbriggs Dumfries belonged to my family - the Thomsons.
821 ED 4A page 15 Rashgill park, Locharbriggs, Dumfriesshire
John Corrie, 46, b. Urr, KKD, quarry labourer Mary, 40, b. Torthorwald Edward, 19, b. Dumfries Robina, 11, b. Dumfries William, 9, b. Dumfires James, 7, b. Dumfries Margaret, 6 months Also a daughter, Jessie, aged 44 - most likely 14! William Thomson bn c1775 was living there in 1841 - 1861 until his and his mother was a Corrie. http://fallon.rootschat.net/172.html

Moblac,
When you finally get through all this gold, if you try to use the 1881 census fro Locharbriggs - you'll have no joy. It isn't there, it's one of teh missing districts - sadly. One on my directs died at the end of 1881 at Rashgill and I feel like I never said goodbye! Daft I know!
John Corrie being from Urr may or may not give me a lead - it may just be coincidence or it could be a cousin of my Thomson - you just never know!
