think i didnt make things clear which is usual for me,sorry will explain.jessie walker was the mother of twins to george and james hutchinson in 1873 to a george hutchison.george the father birth date is 1854 mill hill, northumberland.we dont know if this was a hand fast marriage or a legal one.the twins born at pluscarden, morayshire.on their sons marriage certificate it says parents george hutchison general labourer deceased and jessie whittle formerly hutchison maiden name walker.now her son james married helen king in 1902 14 june ,trying to work out were she died and is buried.cant find her anywere.so she was alive in june 1901 hope this is not to hard for you.but jessie is the last thread i need to finish my husbands tree.regards liz hutchison Huh

Hi Liz

Have you looked at either of the twins' 1873 birth cert? It should show place and date of parents' marriage.

Regards.

Elaine

Are you saying that a Jessie Hutchinson married a Charles Whittle? Sounds like the right entry then. Also supported by Annie Walker niece staying with them in 1901. Although I don't think George and Jessie were married, Jessie from what Liz has said, passed herself off as Hutchinson. If you have found a marriage entry for them, maybe that was the name she was then using rather than Walker?
